Motherboard 1993
Ontario Science Centre
Toronto, Ontario
I was asked to create a carving that reflected a symbiosis of nature and science.
During the carving, small caverns were hollowed out and computer parts were set in -
as if the wood had grown around technology.
As I was burnishing linseed oil into the freshly sanded sculpture, a
New York tourist departing the Science Centre, saw my work glistening on its side and exclaimed:
"Such a Chullah!"
600+ people helped carve this work.
